What is the Sunbury Edible Garden Trail?
It’s a one day event where local gardeners open their gates for their community to come and learn how they grow their own food. Big sunny blocks, small shady blocks, verges, front yards, backyards and rentals are all on show to demonstrate what growing your own food can look like throughout Sunbury and how to make it happen at your home.
Why?
Let’s build local resilience by sharing our skills! There is a wealth of amazing knowledge in our neighbourhood and plenty of people willing to learn. It’s time to connect growers of all ages, confidence levels, cultures and abilities, and empower our community to take some ideas with them and give them a go at home.
When is it?
Monday 9th March 2026 – when edible gardens are in peak summer production. Perfect timing to inspire our visitors to plan and prep their pot or patch all ready to kick off in Spring 2026.
Where is it?
Our 2026 Trail will be Sunbury-based however we are looking forward to growing this event in our wider neighbourhood in the future.
