Espalier, Grafted trees, fruit and nut trees, greenhouse, chickens, wicking beds
A 10 year experiment so far – how much family, food and flowers can I fit in the one backyard? Focus on fruit and nut trees with a generous chicken run for our fluffy soil builders. Inspired by my visits to Digger’s Club gardens food is weaved throughout the front and backyard, if I can find an edible or productive plant for the job then I’ll take it! I’ve been practicing espalier and fruit tree grafting in order to fit more into my space.
Please note this garden isn’t suitable for wheelchairs due to unavoidable stairs.
